ARTISAN’s attention to detail
Our solar kiln, powered entirely by sustainable solar energy, requires a slightly more extended drying than commercial methods, but the resulting lumber is of superior quality to what is available for purchase in box stores and lumber yards. The slower, more traditional drying process allows the wood to retain its natural color with less degradation. This sustainable approach produces better lumber and saves thousands of kilowatt hours of energy over industry methods. So not only do we harvest wood sustainably, we kiln dry it sustainably, too.
We understand that milling is crucial to creating high-quality, unique furniture. Therefore, we mill all the wood in-house, carefully selecting each tree to ensure the most interesting and unique lumber.
